What you will need to have to hand:

4-inch embroidery hoop – available from most craft shops or online.
Fabric of your choice – cotton is a great starting point if you're new to embroidery.
Embroidery threads – choose your own colours and bring the pattern to life in your own way.
Embroidery needles – suitable for your chosen fabric and threads.
A pair of scissors – embroidery scissors are particularly handy for neatly trimming threads.
